We Care

We are dedicated to providing time and resources to a range of causes, both within and outside of the San Diego community.

GG is an active supporter of Build A Miracle (BAM), a non-profit that builds homes for families living below the poverty line in Mexico, for which her children have been recognized for their commitment to the organization. Teen humanitarians Daniella Benitez and Gabriel Benitez have made significant strides in changing the lives of Tijuana families in need through fundraising and multiple home builds. Daniella was profiled in February 2020 on Marvel’s Hero Project, which showcases teens making positive changes in their communities and the world. GG also supports the Friends of Scott Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial, social, and emotional support and programs for children with cancer and their families. The organization’s Unforgettable Prom treats local pediatric cancer patients and survivors to an evening of prom-filled fun, and is one of the most anticipated events in both the Friends of Scott and San Diego communities. Philanthropy Daniella Benitez

A North County girl is an inspiration in two countries after she was moved to help a needy family across the border in Mexico. Daniella Benitez raised $16,000 all on her own to help build a new home for a family.

"It was so special to see their reaction from going from nothing to this beautiful home with a kitchen, water and it was very special", said Benitez. Last year, Benitez’s Carmel Valley private school, Notre Dame Academy, partnered with the non-profit Build a Miracle (BAM). Their goal was to raise $16,000 to build one home for a family who lived in a shack with no running water and a leaky roof. All on her own, with no help from mom and dad, the eighth grader reached out to friends, started a GoFundMe, held bake sales and lemonade stands, and babysat to raise the money.
